Slobodna Dalmacija has reported the potential loan transfer of Mihael Žaper to Varaždin. The former Osijek captain is expected to move to Varaždin on loan. Apart from Varaždin, Lokomotiva and Slaven Belupo had also shown interest. However, recent updates indicate that Žaper might actually be moving to Lokomotiva instead. As the transfer window approaches its end, despite Varaždin being a strong candidate, Lokomotiva seems to be the likely destination for the midfielder. Hajduk has been proactive in facilitating this transfer as Žaper was no longer part of their future plans, especially following the acquisition of Hugo Guillamón to fill the needed position in the team.
