TEAMtalk sources state that Celtic is among several sides interested in Hibernian midfielder Miguel Chaiwa, and that the situation is not yet advanced. Discussions regarding a move to Celtic took place in January but stopped due to a disagreement over valuation. Renewed contact in recent weeks suggests that progress has been made. Miguel Chaiwa has a strong interest in the move and considers Parkhead a suitable place for his career development because of the regular European football on offer. A fee of approximately £1 million to £2 million could be sufficient to sign the midfielder.

According to The Herald, Celtic are now ready to make a move to sign Miguel Chaiwa from Hibernian at the end of the season. The Herald also states he would be an instant upgrade in midfield. Last month, BBC Sport's Kenny Crawford praised Chaiwa for what Crawford described as a complete performance against Celtic.
