Arsenal are monitoring Michael Olise's contract situation at Bayern Munich and are attentive to his impending negotiations with the club. Bayern Munich are very keen to offer the France international improved terms to guarantee that he will stay at the club beyond 2027. In recent months, Olise has received interest from Real Madrid, PSG and Liverpool. A release clause will be a key point of discussion in Olise's negotiations with Bayern. He does not currently have a release clause, but Bayern may have to compromise in order to get him to extend. A release clause could make a transfer to North London possible even if he were to sign a new deal. Arsenal are not actively pursuing Olise at this stage; they are only keeping informed on his situation. Olise could become available next summer were he to reject Bayern's proposals and decide against extending. A return to his hometown to play alongside close friends Eze and William Saliba might appeal to Olise.

Arsenal have made Michael Olise a top long-term attacking target. Sources have confirmed the club is preparing for a move in the summer of 2026 valued at over £100 million. The financial package is reportedly an initial £80 million with £25 million in achievable add-ons and a salary of over £250,000 a week. Sources close to the player insist he is happy and settled in Bavaria but would seriously consider Arsenal if a clear opportunity for a move arose in 18 months' time, and that his representatives are aware of the interest. Bayern have no intention of considering approaches in January, as senior figures at the Allianz Arena view Olise as central to Vincent Kompany’s project and are not concerned about his contract running until 2029. A mid-season sale is not being considered, and Bayern will make efforts to keep him.
