Team Talk reports that Chelsea have a keen interest in Michael Kayode's development. The club are monitoring his progress and watched him closely last season. Kayode’s performances are also attracting serious attention across the Premier League.

Chelsea hope to sign Michael Kayode from Brentford at the end of the season. According to reports from Spain, Chelsea would be prepared to pay €70 million to sign the defender.

Chelsea are prepared to compete with Arsenal for Brentford's full-back, Michael Kayode, who is also being monitored by Man City, Tottenham, and Borussia Dortmund. Chelsea's pursuit comes despite having Reece James and Malo Gusto, although it is reported that Gusto's long-term future at the club is not guaranteed. Kayode joined Brentford in July 2025 on a contract until 2030, and while his transfer from Fiorentina was for a reported sum of €17.5M, some reports in March 2026 suggested Brentford's asking price is over £60M.
