Manchester United and Manchester City are among the clubs interested in Shamrock Rovers striker Michael Noonan. City has maintained a long-term interest in the 17-year-old. Noonan had previously opted to join Rovers last summer instead of signing a pre-contract with Manchester City. Celtic are also reportedly hopeful of signing the player. According to The Irish Sun, Noonan considers the Scottish club an attractive option. One potential arrangement could see Celtic sign him in January and then loan him back to Shamrock Rovers. Celtic's largest individual shareholder, Dermot Desmond, holds a 25 per cent stake in Shamrock Rovers.
