De Telegraaf reports that Mees Hilgers will make a permanent transfer within the Eredivisie from FC Twente to SC Heerenveen, which concludes a long-running situation regarding the 25-year-old central defender's future. Hilgers did not attend the first training days of the season at FC Twente. If the Indonesian international, who also holds Dutch citizenship and has 4 caps for his country, passes his medical examination, he can sign a three-year contract in Friesland until mid-2029. His contract at FC Twente, which was originally set to run until mid-2026, had been automatically extended.
