Matthieu Epolo Transfer from Standard Liège to Toulouse

Matthieu Epolo stated to Sudinfo that there was interest from Toulouse at the end of the transfer window but an agreement was not reached. Epolo expressed that he is proud and happy to defend the colors of Standard and has no intention of forcing a transfer.

Matthieu Epolo revealed to Sudinfo that there was interest last summer, confirming interest from Toulouse in the final phase of the transfer window. Epolo said there was "indeed something" and stated that one day the time will come when all parties reach an agreement. He explained that this was not the case this time, which was not a problem, because he is as proud as he is happy to defend the colors of Standard.

Toulouse has shown interest in signing the 20-year-old Belgian goalkeeper Mathieu Epolo. Standard is reportedly asking for a fee of at least 5 million euros. Epolo is said to be open to the transfer. According to Sudinfo, Toulouse aims to bring Epolo from the Vurige Stede, and while the Belgian goalkeeper appears keen on the move, Standard is reportedly firm on their valuation, unwilling to let the young goalie leave Liège for less than the demanded amount. The closing hours of the transfer window are intensifying the negotiations, creating a tense and exciting situation. The goalkeeper's contract at Standard is valid until June 2027, and his market value is estimated by Transfermarkt to be €4.00m. Previously, clubs such as Strasbourg, FC Union Berlin, and Lens have also been linked with the player.
