Mark Wotte, the technical director for ADO Den Haag, is attempting to extend the contract of Matteo Waem, a 25-year-old Belgian-Italian centre-back who joined the club in July 2023. Waem's current contract runs until June 2026. He has received a proposal for an extension and is open to re-signing, although an agreement has not yet been reached. In the 2025/2026 Keuken Kampioen Divisie season, Waem has made 14 appearances, scoring one goal and providing three assists. His market value is estimated by Transfermarkt to be €650k.
