According to Tuttocesena.it, Cesena is exploring a move for Matteo Brunori. Brunori is a 31-year-old Italian-Brazilian striker who is leaving Palermo. He has reportedly expressed his availability for a transfer to Romagna, where he would work again with sporting director Andrea Mancini. The two worked together at Sampdoria during the final six months of the previous season. Cesena faces competition from other Serie B teams, and Cremonese is also mentioned as an interested party. The main obstacle to a deal is Brunori's contract with Palermo, which is valid until 2028 and has a net salary of around €950,000. This amount is too high for Cesena. The only viable option appears to be a loan deal in which Palermo would cover part of the player's wages. Mancini is currently working on this possibility. Transfermarkt estimates Brunori's current market value to be €1.8 million. Palermo reportedly signed him from Juventus' Next Gen team in July 2022 for a €2.0 million fee.
