Panathinaikos has an interest in signing Mateo Dams from Al Ahli in Saudi Arabia. According to Sportdog.gr, significant preliminary work has already been done regarding the case. Dams was in Athens in early February for contacts with Panathinaikos, which were made through his representation company, SEG. SEG already collaborates with the club. Journalist Dimitris Sioris stated that Dams did not perform well this season at Al Ahli, is out of the squad, and has only 4 appearances. Sioris also said the coach defended Dams in some press conferences but emphasized that Al Ahli will not let him leave for free if Panathinaikos wants to sign him.
