Olympiacos wants to acquire Matías Viña, a 28-year-old Uruguayan international left-back. According to reporter Sebastián Srur of River Plate, Olympiacos is interested in Matías Viña. Viña is under contract with Flamengo until January 2028, but has been playing on loan at River Plate since last January. The agreement between the two clubs includes a mandatory purchase option for River Plate of approximately €4.7 million, which is valid until 31/12 if certain conditions are met. Sebastián Srur also claims there will be developments in the coming days, but notes that Uruguay's progress in the World Cup is a caveat. Viña has 44 caps and one goal for his country and has made 10 domestic league appearances in the 2025/2026 season. Panathinaikos has also recently been linked with the player, whose Transfermarkt valuation is €3.50m. In December 2025, Spartak Moskva reportedly had bids of up to €4 million rejected. Viña's last permanent transfer was from AS Roma to Flamengo in January 2024 for a fee of €8.1 million.
