Anthony Joseph has reported that Wrexham have agreed a £7.2m deal to sign Fiorentina centre-back Matias Moreno. The 22-year-old Argentine is now discussing personal terms with the Welsh club. Fiorentina have inserted a 50% sell-on clause into the deal.

According to the Argentine journalist Cesar Luis Merlo, Strasburgo has taken initial steps to inquire about the situation of Matias Moreno. Moreno is a 2003-born defender who returned to Fiorentina after his last season on loan at Levante. Moreno had joined Fiorentina in the summer of 2024 from Belgrano for a fee close to 5 million euros. Strasburgo's interest may have been attracted by Moreno's increased playing time at Levante, where he made 29 official appearances.

Tuttomercato reports that Matias Moreno is set to return and will be made available for transfer.
