Jan Willem van Dop, algemeen directeur, stated that a German club showed last-minute interest in the 25-year-old Belgian winger, Mathis Suray. The interest came via an agent, possibly for a Bundesliga club. A request was made to talk about a price, but no further contact followed. Suray joined Go Ahead Eagles in July 2024 and has a contract with the club until 2027. According to Transfermarkt, his current market value is €3.50m. He has also been capped three times for Belgium at the U19 level.
