Amidst financial difficulties, CFR Cluj has accepted a €500,000 offer from Kasımpaşa for 23-year-old Romanian defender Matei Ilie. CFR Cluj also received offers for the player from Al Nasr SC of the UAE's top league and Samara from Russia. Ilie has two caps for Romania, joined CFR Cluj in September 2023, and has a contract that runs until June 30, 2027. His current market value is €2.50m, according to Transfermarkt.
