Hibernian have signed 24-year-old Serbian defender Marko Ivezić from Holstein Kiel on a three-year deal. The club had identified Ivezić to replace Warren O'Hora, who moved to Leicester City. The defender, who has been capped once by Serbia, made 87 appearances for the German side, including 23 in the Bundesliga. Hibs head coach David Gray expressed that he was delighted and highlighted the player's physical qualities, experience, and versatility. Holstein Kiel's sporting director, Olaf Rebbe, explained that the club respected Ivezić's wish for a new challenge because they were unable to offer him the playing time he envisioned. His current market value is €1.50m, according to Transfermarkt.
