Mario Gila Transfer from Lazio to AFC Bournemouth
According to Il Messaggero, Chelsea and Bournemouth are both keen on signing 25-year-old Lazio player Mario Gila.
Il Messaggero reports that Bournemouth manager Andoni Iraola wants to sign Mario Gila and repeat the approach he used with Dean Huijsen. Gila has not received the renewal offer he expected from Lazio and will listen to offers this summer. It is said that Italian clubs demand around 30 million euros.
Lazio has rejected an offer from Bournemouth for Mario Gila. The offer was worth a total of 40 million, including fixed parts and bonuses. The club wants to retain Gila at all costs to provide a solid defensive base for the team. The contract is set to expire in 2027, and 50% of the sale proceeds must be given to Real Madrid as per previous agreements. Lazio demands a significantly higher offer to consider the sale.
Bournemouth is interested in signing Mario Gila to replace Dean Huijsen, who is moving to Real Madrid. Bournemouth has inquired about the possibilities of acquiring the current Lazio central defender, who has played 42 matches this season across Serie A, Europa League, and the Coppa Italia. The English club is actively seeking to fill the vacancy left by their new Real Madrid signing, and Gila, a former Real Madrid youth player, is among their top targets. Gila, who signed with Lazio in 2022 and has a contract until 2027, has attracted interest from multiple clubs.
