Approximately a month ago, there was an option for Hajduk's 19-year-old Croatian centre-back Marino Skelin to move to Rudeš, a possibility that he reportedly did not find appealing. This was one of several potential transfers for the player that were not completed, as moves to Istra 1961 and a club in Serie B were also mentioned but never finalized. More recently, potential loan deals to Slaven Belupo and Radomlje also did not proceed. Dalmatinski portal reported that the transfer to Radomlje would not be happening. Hajduk's coach, Gonzalo Garcia, had previously stated that he believes Skelin needs a change of environment to gain routine and consistent playing time, which would help him become ready for Hajduk the following season. Skelin joined his current club in January 2025, and his contract runs until June 2028. He has been capped for Croatia at the U19 level and has a current Transfermarkt market value of €200k.
