Marin Šotiček has chosen to join Widzew Lodz, opting for the Polish club over Anderlecht. The Belgian club had reportedly been interested in the 21-year-old Croatian for several months. Croatian Football also reported that Widzew Lodz signed the winger ahead of Anderlecht. The winger is set to leave FC Basel after a two-season spell in Switzerland, during which he made 38 appearances last season. Šotiček has been capped 20 times for Croatia's U21 team, scoring 3 goals, and has a contract with the Swiss club until June 2028. His current market value is €1.50m, according to Transfermarkt. In addition to the interest from Anderlecht, Dinamo Zagreb has also been linked with the player.
