Anderlecht are renewing their efforts to sign 21-year-old winger Marin Šotiček after Basel rejected their bid during the winter. It is reported that another Belgian club is now also competing for the Croatian player. Basel is understood to be open to selling Šotiček for a suitable offer as the club prepares for a major squad change following a disappointing season. Šotiček, who joined Basel in July 2024, has a contract with the Swiss club until 2028 and has made 20 appearances for the Croatia U21 team, scoring 3 goals.
