He arrives from Dunkerque in Ligue 2, where his contract was ending after a two-year period. The agreement is guaranteed and the player will sign a contract for at least two seasons. During the 2025/26 campaign, Essimi scored five goals in 20 matches for the French team. The move to Portugal will be his first experience playing outside of France.
