Premiership champions Celtic are looking to acquire Marcelo Saracchi, a 27-year-old Uruguayan player, from Boca Juniors. The experienced left-back has reportedly caught the attention of Brendan Rodgers' team as they discuss the finer details with Boca Juniors, aiming to secure a back-up for Kieran Tierney. Signing specialist Cesar Luis Merlo mentioned that Boca already has a loan offer for one year with a fee and a purchase option, and he believes that if Celtic were to improve the amounts of the option, the deal could be feasible. Saracchi's contract with Boca Juniors is set to expire at the end of 2027, and his market value is estimated by Transfermarkt to be €1.50m.
