Chelsea has begun discussions with Olympique Lyonnais to assess the possibility of transferring Belgian winger Malick Fofana. The club's strategy involves signing some of the best talents globally. Although no offer has been tabled yet, 20-year-old Fofana, who is contracted with Lyon until 2028, was acquired by the club for €19.5 million from La Gantoise in January 2024. He has emerged as one of Lyon's most valuable players, garnering interest from several English clubs, including Nottingham Forest, due to his impressive record of 5 goals and 4 assists in 29 Ligue 1 matches this season. Chelsea, however, is the first club to take definitive action by reaching out directly to Lyon's management.
