Gent has a serious interest in Malibongwe Khoza as a potential replacement for Mouhamed Ngom, who will be unavailable for at least six months with a cruciate ligament injury. Khoza is a 22-year-old central defender for Mamelodi Sundowns, which he joined in August 2024, and has four caps for South Africa. However, other clubs are also interested in the player, as Ried and Nantes are reportedly also interested in the defender. Transfermarkt estimates his value at 850,000 euro, and he is considered to be compatible with Gent's budget.
