Malcom Edjouma was close to a transfer to CFR Cluj, but the move failed due to financial demands. The French player requested contract termination and payment of all salaries until the end of the agreement, which the FCSB owner refused.
Sport.ro has reported on the unsuccessful transfer attempt involving Edjouma between FCSB and CFR Cluj. The deal collapsed at the last minute due to the player's demands. Gigi Becali, the owner of FCSB, had been prepared to allow Edjouma to leave for a modest fee of 100,000 euros, a proposal that CFR Cluj had accepted. However, the situation became complicated when Edjouma insisted on leaving without a transfer fee and requested the remaining salaries until the end of the year, totaling approximately 70,000 euros. This demand angered Becali, leading him to block the transfer. Consequently, Edjouma has rejoined the team's program. Gigi Becali clarified that although Edjouma was initially permitted to move to CFR Cluj, the player's additional demands resulted in the cancellation of the transfer.
Mihai Stoica announced that Malcom Edjouma will transfer to CFR Cluj. Due to a contractual clause, further details could not be disclosed. Stoica assured that Edjouma is 100% moving to CFR Cluj.

Offers for Edjouma came from both domestic and international clubs, but CFR Cluj seems to be the favored destination.
Moroccan midfielder Malcom Edjouma, 28, is also wanted by CFR Cluj. Similar to Ștefănescu, he is not part of FCSB's plans. Ioan Varga from CFR Cluj showed interest and plans to pay the transfer fee in November. Gigi Becali confirmed the agreement and demands 100,000 euros for Edjouma's transfer. The player's contract is set to expire at the end of December 2025, and his market value is estimated by Transfermarkt to be €800,000. In addition to CFR Cluj, several other clubs including Hermannstadt and Bari have also been linked with Edjouma.
