At a press conference, CFR Cluj’s coach, Marius Șumudică, stated that he had a private conversation in Portuguese with Ricardo Matos, FC Argeș's 26-year-old striker, after the match between their teams in Mioveni. Șumudică said that he has a very high opinion of the Portuguese forward, whom he knows, describing him as a valuable striker in the league and calling him a clinical finisher with a good awareness of goal and space. Ricardo Matos's contract with FC Argeș runs until July 2027. It has been suggested that CFR Cluj might attempt to sign him in the winter, and it is reported that he will enter the final six months of his agreement at that time. Matos has been with FC Argeș since July 2025, and his market value is listed as €1.00m by Transfermarkt.
