Voetbal International reports that Ajax was prepared to offer more money for Lutsharel Geertruida than PSV. Ajax also made an attempt to sign Geertruida and made a serious effort to compete for him. Geertruida did not pursue a move to Ajax. The publication states that because he is a "Feyenoord child," a transfer to Ajax was almost unthinkable for Geertruida's environment. It is reported that Ajax is also interested in Lutsharel Geertruida. According to Eindhovens Dagblad, PSV currently has the most serious interest in signing him.
