The move is being considered because Hermannstadt's primary goalkeeper, Cătălin Căbuz, sustained an injury that will sideline him for several weeks. Rotaru stated that he is awaiting Becali's decision on a proposed loan that would last until the summer, after which further talks could occur. He also expressed his belief that Zima would be interested in the transfer to receive more playing time, noting the transfer window closes on the 9th. Zima, who has 15 caps for the Czech Republic U21 team, joined FCSB in January 2025 and has made four appearances in the SuperLiga this season.
