Austria Salzburg announced on Tuesday the signing of 19-year-old Austrian centre-back Lukas Schweighofer on loan from WSG Tirol. Schweighofer will join until the end of the season as part of a double loan deal that also includes his teammate Christian Huetz. Sporting director Roland Kirchler stated that he knows the players from the academy and described them as having top character, being excellently trained, and fitting the club's profile. Schweighofer, who joined WSG Tirol in July 2025, made his debut in the ADMIRAL Bundesliga on the final matchday of the previous season. In the 2025/2026 season, he also made 15 appearances and scored one goal in the Regionalliga Tirol. His current Transfermarkt market value is €75k.
