Lukas Kačavenda Transfer from Dinamo Zagreb to LASK Linz
Lukas Kačavenda was considered one of the greatest talents in Croatian football. After joining Dinamo from Lokomotiva initially on loan in August 2023 and later being purchased outright, he struggled with injuries and didn't fully establish himself in the team. Not part of the plans for the next season, Dinamo loaned him to Austrian club LASK with an option to purchase for approximately 1.5 million euros. Kačavenda made an impressive debut for LASK, scoring a goal and providing an assist in a friendly match against Slovakian club Trenčín, which LASK won 7-1.
Lukas Kačavenda, 22, left Dinamo's preparations in Slovenia and returned to Zagreb, from where he is heading to a new football address. Next season, the 22-year-old midfielder, also usable on wing positions, will play on loan at LASK, and the Austrian club will have the option to buy his contract. Football insider Lorenzo Lepore revealed that LASK will have to pay 1.2 million euros if they want to keep Kačavenda. If this happens, the young midfielder will sign a three-year contract with the Austrians. Kačavenda passed his medical examination and went to Austrian LASK on loan.
LASK is poised to acquire Lukas Kacavenda on loan from Dinamo Zagreb, according to information from the Croatian newspaper '24sata'. With several new midfield additions at Dinamo Zagreb, such as Dejan Ljubicic, Marko Soldo, Gonzalo Villar, Robert Mudrazija, and Gabriel Vidovic, Kacavenda was told that his playing time in the upcoming season would be limited. As a result, a transfer to LASK is in the works. Kacavenda has already come to terms with LASK officials. The medical examination and contract signing are anticipated to occur next week. A purchase option is included, with the sum reportedly set at 1.5 million euros. The 22-year-old, once seen as a significant talent in Croatia, had previously drawn a 7.5 million euro bid from Genoa while at NK Lokomotiva Zagreb. Despite facing challenges from knee surgeries, he has accumulated experience with 32 appearances for Dinamo in the 2024/25 season, including six outings in the UEFA Champions League, mainly as a substitute.
