Luka Ilić, a 27-year-old free agent after his departure from Real Oviedo, which played in La Liga last season, has rejected an offer from Universitatea Craiova. The Romanian champions had identified the Serbian midfielder as a replacement for Anzor Mekvabishvili, who departed for Chicago Fire. Ilić also rejected an offer from the Cypriot club Pafos. The player has different career plans and was not pleased with the offer from the Romanian club. The midfielder has one cap and one goal for Serbia and a current market value of €1.40m, according to Transfermarkt.
