Panathinaikos is strongly interested in 31-year-old Getafe midfielder Luis Milla. According to Spanish journalists, the Greek club has made exploratory contacts with the footballer's representatives and intends to offer him a very good contract. The prospect of working with Rafa Benitez and participating in the Europa League are being used as incentives. Last summer, the player was also strongly desired by José Luis Mendilibar for Olympiacos. The deal is considered very difficult because of definite interest from clubs in Milla's home country and because Premier League teams had shown interest in acquiring him in previous months. The Spanish midfielder joined Getafe in July 2022 and has a contract with the club until June 2027. This season, he has provided seven assists in 17 LaLiga appearances, and his current market value is estimated by Transfermarkt to be €3.50m.
