Lucas Stassin Transfer from Saint-Étienne to VfB Stuttgart

VfB Stuttgart initially wants to sign Lucas Stassin from AS Saint-Étienne. AS Saint-Étienne want 40 million euros for the Belgian striker. According to Sky Sports, that amount is too expensive. It appears that as a result, Stassin is no longer being pursued and Stuttgart is looking at alternatives.

The German branch of Sky Sports reported that Lucas Stassin is on the wish list of Stuttgart, that initial talks about a possible transfer have already taken place, and that Saint-Etienne is said to demand a transfer fee of 35 to 40 million euros. Lucas Stassin wants to leave Saint-Etienne in January to improve his chances of being selected for the World Cup. Florian Plettenberg reported that VfB Stuttgart are exploring a deal to sign Lucas Stassin.

According to Sky Sport Allemagne, Stuttgart has started discussions about a transfer of Lucas Stassin. The management of AS Saint-Etienne still wants to keep their striker and reportedly has not changed its position on the demanded amount, which is 40 million euros.

According to 'Sky', the centre-forward from AS St.-Étienne is of high interest to the Swabians. Stassin has been a topic at VfB on multiple occasions in the past two years, but a transfer was not completed. The chances of a move are considered likely to be poor at present. 'Sky' reports that the French second division club is demanding a transfer fee of 35 to 40 million euros. Although further talks are probable, Stuttgart is likely to be out of contention if the high demand is maintained.

In an interview with Sacha Tavolieri, Stéphane Stassin named the Bundesliga as an ideal destination for Lucas Stassin. According to Jeunes Footeux, two German clubs are reportedly interested, and Stuttgart is mentioned as one of the clubs considering Stassin's arrival. The German press, however, has not yet named Stassin as a candidate for the club.

VfB Stuttgart has already inquired with Saint-Etienne about Lucas Stassin.

Lucas Stassin has become a target for VfB Stuttgart in the Bundesliga, as his growing reputation and the possibility of Saint-Etienne's relegation have drawn the attention of the German club. The 20-year-old striker has delivered an impressive performance in Ligue 1, netting ten goals and providing five assists. This performance has not only attracted Stuttgart but also Premier League clubs Brighton and Brentford. With Saint-Etienne struggling near the bottom of the table, it seems unlikely that Stassin will remain with them if they drop to Ligue 2, making a summer transfer highly probable. Sacha Tavolieri has reported that at least three clubs have already shown interest in acquiring the former Anderlecht youth product.
