Lucas Michal Transfer from Monaco to Nantes
Lucas Michal is courted by several clubs, including Nantes. He did not wish to participate in the elite group match against PSG to express his dissatisfaction with Monaco's management, which now opposes his departure. Despite Monaco previously indicating that a departure was possible, they have closed the door to a transfer, citing the need to retain a sufficient quota of club-trained players for the Champions League.
Nantes has proposed a loan deal for Lucas Michal with an option to purchase him for 2.5 million euros, but AS Monaco reportedly does not favor this arrangement. Michal remains under contract with AS Monaco until June 2029. The 20-year-old French forward, who played in 13 matches across all competitions during the 2024-2025 season, is attracting considerable interest in Ligue 1 this summer. In addition to Nantes, Brest is also interested in acquiring his services and has made a separate offer of 2 million euros plus bonuses for a permanent transfer. Despite Monaco's reluctance to accept the loan proposal from Nantes, it seems likely that Michal will leave the club. Transfermarkt values the France U20 international at approximately €500,000.
