Lucas Bergvall leaving Tottenham Hotspur?
Tottenham have reportedly set a price tag of €60 million for Lucas Bergvall. Unnamed 'big clubs' are willing to meet this asking price for the 19-year-old Swedish international. However, it seems unlikely that the new boss Thomas Frank and the club would allow him to leave anytime soon. Bergvall committed to a long-term contract with Tottenham until the summer of 2031, having signed a new deal in April 2024.
Lucas Bergvall, an 18-year-old midfielder, has been transferred to Tottenham from Djurgarden for 10 million euros. He has seen limited playing time in both the Premier League and Europa League, with his most recent league appearance occurring on September 29. Coach Ange Postecoglou expressed his view that Bergvall requires further development to adapt to the pace of the English league. As a result, there is a possibility that he may be loaned to KVC Westerlo in the Jupiler Pro League to gain additional experience in a competitive environment.
Journalist Tobias Hellgren reports that Tottenham manager Ange Postecoglou believes that Lucas Bergvall is not yet suited for the Premier League's higher intensity matches. Consequently, a January loan exit could be sanctioned for the Swedish teenager.
