Lucas Bergvall Transfer from Tottenham Hotspur to Napoli
According to Goal.com, Napoli are interested in Tottenham's Bergvall as they seek midfield reinforcements and are monitoring his situation. It is reported that any formal approach from Napoli would encounter resistance from the Tottenham boardroom. Tottenham will only approve a winter departure for Bergvall if they secure a direct midfield replacement beforehand. Consequently, both a permanent sale and a temporary loan exit in January currently appear highly improbable, regardless of overseas approaches.

A number of clubs, including Napoli, its Serie A rivals Inter Milan and AC Milan, Borussia Dortmund, and RB Leipzig, are aware of the situation of 20-year-old Swedish international Lucas Bergvall at Tottenham Hotspur and are monitoring developments. The player's uncertainty about his future in north London has reportedly increased due to less playing time under manager Roberto De Zerbi and concerns about his route to the first team, as the club is actively seeking to sign several midfield reinforcements. Napoli considers Bergvall to be one of the most talented young midfielders of his generation and would be interested if Tottenham indicates a willingness to negotiate. Chelsea and Aston Villa have both inquired about his situation. However, sources indicate that Bergvall is not currently making a move to another Premier League club a priority and would prefer a transfer to mainland Europe. Tottenham have not actively made the player available for transfer and still consider him a very talented player. The central midfielder has 12 caps for Sweden. He joined Tottenham in July 2024 and has a contract until 2031. His current market value on Transfermarkt is €35.00m. Tottenham signed Bergvall for a reported fee of €10 million. In January 2026, they reportedly rejected approaches of around £40 million. The following month, they set an asking price of more than £57 million.
