FC Universitatea Cluj has reached an agreement with the Italian club Hellas Verona for the transfer of 19-year-old Luca Szimionaş. The young Romanian midfielder has signed a four-year contract. Szimionaş, a Romanian U21 international with 6 caps for the side, returns to his home country after being scouted by Verona while at Ripensia Timișoara and joining the Italian side in 2022. His progress was also noticed by other important teams in Italian football. Transfermarkt estimates his current market value to be €250k.
