Wieczysta Kraków had a strong desire to sign Ľubomír Šatka but have accepted that they will not sign him. Sławomir Peszko, vice president for sports at Wieczysta Kraków, stated that Šatka was their first option and they were near to signing him. Peszko also said that Šatka was waiting for an offer from the United Arab Emirates and that he did not want to wait longer because another player, Milić, was available on the market.

Sławomir Peszko revealed that a chance remains for 30-year-old Ľubomír Šatka to become a new defender for Wieczysta Kraków, a club recently promoted to the Ekstraklasa. The Slovakia international, who previously played for Lech Poznań and most recently for Samsunspor, has not yet signed with a new team. Peszko explained that they had spoken with Šatka, but the player had a very high contract and was free to await other offers. He noted that with the league starting in two weeks, time is limited, but Wieczysta has not ruled out the possibility of making a transfer in August. Peszko added that talks could resume if a player does not join their first-choice club and Wieczysta is a secondary option for them. The centre-back has made 41 appearances and scored 1 goal for Slovakia and has a current Transfermarkt market value of €1.50m.
