Lovro Kitin is joining Opatija under Zoran Bogolin for the spring part of the season as part of a dual registration arrangement. Rijeka expects Kitin to develop at Opatija and return in the summer as a first-team player.

According to Sportske Novosti, Lovro Kitin has been sent on loan to Opatija to gain senior minutes.

According to Ivan Volarić of Novi list, Rijeka and Opatija are close to an agreement that would send Lovro Kitin to Opatija on loan for the remainder of the season. The deal is reportedly part of a new collaboration between the clubs which would also involve at least one coach from Rijeka joining Opatija.
