Greek football club Olympiacos is reportedly interested in signing 23-year-old Romanian international striker Louis Munteanu. Munteanu, who recently went absent without leave from CFR Cluj in an attempt to force a transfer, has been fined by his club. Although Munteanu is said to prefer a move to Spain, Olympiacos continues to show interest. Alongside Olympiacos, Valencia is also reportedly monitoring the striker, who achieved a remarkable 25 goals in the last season. Following an unauthorized vacation taken after a significant loss in the Conference League play-off, Munteanu faced disciplinary measures, including exclusion from a subsequent match and a potential fine amounting to €10,000 (£8,663). His contract with CFR Cluj runs until June 2028, and his market value is currently estimated at €5.00m by Transfermarkt.
