Anderlecht is seeking a new left-back to compete with Ludwig Augustinsson and has targeted Logi Tomasson. Tomasson is a 25-year-old Icelandic international with 16 caps and one goal for his country. He plays for Samsunspor, where he is a regular starter under manager Thorsten Fink. In the previous Süper Lig season, he made 29 appearances, scoring once and providing four assists. Tomasson's contract expires in June 2029, and he joined the Turkish club one year ago for €700,000. It is said that Anderlecht has made an offer of €3.5 million, but Samsunspor, where Michel Ribeiro is also a staff member, reportedly wants €5 million for the player. His market value on Transfermarkt is €3.00m. It is not known if Anderlecht is prepared to increase its bid, as Fink's club would prefer to keep the left-footed player. The Polish club Widzew Lodz has also been associated with the defender.
