Lindon Selahi Transfer from Rijeka to Widzew Lodz

Index.hr reports on Lindon Selahi's transfer from Rijeka to Widzew Lodz, bypassing an offer from Hajduk. Lindon Selahi, a key player for Rijeka, rejected an offer from Hajduk and signed with Widzew Lodz. He was invited by Željko Sopić, the current coach of Widzew, who previously coached Selahi at Rijeka. Selahi will sign a three-year contract with an annual salary of 500,000 euros. He joined Rijeka in 2021 from Twente as a free agent and leaves after 153 matches, nine goals, and four assists, also as a free agent. His market value is estimated at 2 million euros by Transfermarkt.

Lindon Selahi's contract with Rijeka expires at the end of the month and he will join Widzew Lodz as a free agent. He will reunite with his former coach Željko Sopić. Selahi will travel to Poland on Monday and undergo a medical examination on Tuesday, according to insider Lorenzo Lepore.

Lindon Selahi is contemplating a potential transfer to Widzew, a team led by coach Željko Sopić, with whom he has previously collaborated at Rijeka. Widzew has extended a three-year contract offer to Selahi, and he is anticipated to visit Łódź in the coming week to gain further insight into the club. The involvement of sports director Mindaugas Nikoličius, who possesses experience in Croatian football, could potentially influence Selahi's decision. Despite earlier speculation linking him to Anderlecht, insider Sacha Tavolieri has indicated that Selahi is currently deciding between Widzew and Hajduk. Widzew concluded last season in 13th place in the Ekstraklasa, and Selahi would encounter a familiar coaching staff and sports director there, factors that might contribute to his ultimate decision.
