Lindon Selahi Transfer from Rijeka to Hellas Verona
Hellas Verona had shown interest in Lindon Selahi, but the player opted to join Widzew Łódź. The Albanian international, who had recently become a Croatian champion with Rijeka, was in high demand, with several clubs expressing interest in him. Among these were Lecce, Anderlecht, and two local rivals of Widzew Łódź, namely Lech Poznań and Raków Częstochowa. Selahi, whose contract with Rijeka is set to expire at the end of June, was offered a lucrative three-year deal by Widzew Łódź, which would reportedly earn him 500,000 euros net per year. This offer was significantly higher than that of Hajduk Split, who had proposed 100,000 euros less per season. The transfer decision was also influenced by Widzew's coach, Željko Sopić, who had previously worked with Selahi at Rijeka. Selahi is anticipated to complete his medical tests next week before officially signing with Widzew Łódź.
