FCSB's main target is 23-year-old Polissya Zhytomyr player Lindon Emerllahu, which aligns with club owner Gigi Becali's stated intention to sign a midfielder in the winter. The club was previously close to signing the Kosovo international at the end of last year before CFR Cluj sold him to the Ukrainian side for 1.5 million euros. FCSB's Chairman of the Board, MM Stoica, mentioned a few months ago that he had been convinced Emerllahu would join them and that the offer from Ukraine must have been significantly higher. FCSB later contacted Polissya in the summer, with sporting director Florin Cernat leading discussions, but the approach was categorically refused. The club is now preparing a new attempt and hopes to complete the transfer in the next window. Emerllahu, who joined the Ukrainian side in January 2026, has a contract that runs until 2028 and has earned 15 caps for Kosovo, scoring two goals. His current Transfermarkt market value is €2.00m.
