Atalanta has recently shown interest in Bologna's 26-year-old Lewis Ferguson as they search for midfield reinforcements after some departures. The Scottish midfielder, who joined the club in July 2022, is also liked by Rangers, and Roma has made an enquiry. Bologna values its captain at a minimum of €20 million plus bonuses. Ferguson's contract runs until 2028 and he has 27 caps and one goal for Scotland. In the 2025/2026 Serie A season, he made 27 appearances, scoring once. His current Transfermarkt market value is €14 million. Recent reports from June 2026 suggest Bologna would be unlikely to accept offers below €25 million, while offers of between €20-€25 million from Juventus and Napoli were reportedly made in 2025. Ferguson's initial transfer from Aberdeen to Bologna was for a reported €3.5 million.
