Grêmio is interested in Huracán's 21-year-old Argentine midfielder Leonel Pérez and is proceeding with a deal to acquire 50 percent of his rights. The offer is for a net amount of $2,500,000 for Huracán, and the agreement contains a provision to purchase the remaining 50 percent if certain objectives are met. Negotiations between the two clubs are anticipated to advance next week, after Huracán's match against San Lorenzo. The Brazilian club is also reportedly considering Franco Ibarra from Rosario Central as an alternative if the transfer for Pérez is not completed. It is considered likely that the game against San Lorenzo will be Pérez's final appearance at Parque Patricios. Pérez joined Huracán in January 2025, has a contract until the end of 2027, and has a current market value of €6.00m according to Transfermarkt. He has also been linked with Tigres UANL.
