Corinthians, alongside Grêmio and Bahia, are three clubs from Brazil that have made an enquiry about Southampton FC's 27-year-old Brazilian-Luxembourgish attacking midfielder Léo Scienza to understand the conditions for a potential deal. A return to Brazil is considered extremely difficult because the player's release clause is set at €29m (£25m), a figure well beyond what Brazilian clubs typically invest. Léo Scienza, who joined his current club in September 2025, has also indicated that his preference is to continue his career in Europe and recently stated the Premier League is his main target, where clubs including Tottenham Hotspur, Aston Villa, Fulham, Everton and Leeds United have been conducting internal checks.
