De Telegraaf reports that Ajax has reached an agreement with Leo Salazar Hinojosa. The left winger from Espanyol B will move to Amsterdam on a loan basis and can be definitively acquired after one season for approximately one million euros. De Telegraaf states that Salazar is being brought in for Jong Ajax, where he will be prepared for the first team. Salazar has a contract with Espanyol until mid-2028. De Telegraaf indicates that Ajax has already reserved space for the medical examination for Salazar and is waiting for permission from Espanyol for him to travel to Amsterdam before a final agreement.

Ajax is attempting to sign nineteen-year-old Spanish Espanyol left winger Leo Salazar Hinojosa, although the signing of another player for that position, Simon Adingra, is considered the club's highest priority. Salazar, who plays for the club's B team, would be signed to be developed for a future first-team role. His contract is valid until June 2028 and he has made two appearances for the Spain U18 team. In the 2025/2026 season, Salazar played in 43 matches in the Segunda Federación, and his current market value is €25k, according to Transfermarkt.
