Leo Castledine Transfer from Chelsea U21 to Huddersfield Town
Huddersfield Town are interested in signing Leo Castledine permanently from Chelsea, where he is currently on loan. According to a report from The Sun, Castledine could be available for as little as £1 million this winter. The Athletic reports that Chelsea has a break clause in the loan agreement which is set to expire a couple of weeks into the window. Castledine's current deal with Chelsea is scheduled to expire at the end of the season, although the club has an option to extend his contract by 12 months.
Chelsea has a recall clause for the winter window for their academy graduate Leo Castledine, who is on loan at Huddersfield Town, and the club is seeking a permanent transfer for him. The playmaker's contract has six months remaining, and the Premier League club is reportedly seeking £1m for his transfer. According to The Sun, Watford is one of several Championship teams interested in a permanent signing of Castledine. Huddersfield's capacity to retain the player is constrained by the need for them to pay the £1m fee and for Castledine to decline offers from the higher division. It is considered improbable that Huddersfield would be willing to pay the required amount for a long-term contract, especially following their significant summer spending.
