Leandrinho leaving Vasco da Gama?

According to Globo.com, Vasco completed the sale of Leandrinho to Al-Sharjah from the United Arab Emirates this Friday. The left-back was developed in the club's youth academy. The value of the operation is approximately 1.5 million euros. The defender had expressed his desire to leave the club to the board. Initially, Fernando Diniz wanted to provide the player with opportunities, but he was removed from the plans after asking to leave.

Fernando Diniz stated that he sees a lot of potential in Leandrinho. The coach said he spoke with the player about his intention, but an offer came from abroad and Leandrinho has the desire to leave. Diniz added that if the offer is attractive to the club and if everyone wants to make a deal, the situation originated from the player.

Vasco has received a proposal from Sharjah FC of the United Arab Emirates for the 20-year-old Brazilian left-back Leandrinho. The financial details of the proposal are confidential, and the board is analyzing the figures presented by the Emirati club. Leandrinho was on loan at Al-Shabab in Saudi Arabia for the second half of last season, and the club is not opposed to negotiating his transfer again. The defender has been capped 10 times for Brazil and is under contract with the Brazilian club until January 2027. According to Transfermarkt, his current market value is €1.8 million. A reported loan-to-buy offer from Club Brugge, which included a €3 million purchase option, was rejected in September 2025. Paphos and Chapecoense have also been linked with the player.
