Lawrence Shankland Transfer from Hearts to Rangers
Hearts are waiting for an answer from Lawrence Shankland on their contract offer. The 29-year-old is now a free agent and has offers elsewhere. Former Ibrox striker Gordon Dalziel suggests that signing Shankland on a free transfer would be a great move for Rangers, especially if they sell Igamane.
Rangers are considering signing Lawrence Shankland as a replacement for Cyriel Dessers. Shankland has scored 40 goals in the last two seasons and is available on a free transfer after opting against a new contract with Hearts. Former Rangers striker Steven Naismith believes Shankland would be a perfect signing for Rangers.
Lawrence Shankland is out of contract and has offers on the table but has yet to commit his future to a club. Steven Naismith is surprised Rangers haven’t gone for him as Shankland is considered a safe bet for scoring goals in Scotland. He would be a free transfer but still expensive for Rangers to sign players who are scoring 30 goals a season. Shankland is seen as a player who fits the criteria for Rangers, being a link between midfield and attack as well as a goal scorer.
Rangers should make a move for Hearts captain Lawrence Shankland as he nears the end of his contract. Derek Ferguson believes that Rangers' interest in Shankland is still alive. Shankland is free to pen a pre-contract agreement away from Hearts after entering the final six months of his deal.
Former Celtic forward John Hartson and former Rangers player Alan Hutton have both conveyed their belief that signing Lawrence Shankland would be advantageous for Rangers. Shankland's contract with Hearts is due to expire at the conclusion of the current season, and he has reportedly rejected two contract extension proposals from Hearts. Although he has not had an outstanding season up to this point, his past achievement of scoring over 30 goals renders him a valuable prospect. The transfer fee remains uncertain, contingent upon Hearts' demands given Shankland's contract situation.
Lawrence Shankland, who is currently experiencing a dip in performance at Hearts, is set to be out of contract next summer. He turned down two contract extension offers from Hearts earlier this year. Former Rangers defender Alan Hutton has suggested that Rangers consider signing Shankland in January, despite his current goal drought. Hutton expressed his belief that Shankland remains a talented player who would excel in the Rangers team.
The Jambos goal machine has been heavily touted for a move to Rangers but as things stand, the Ibrox club can't afford him. Whether Steven Naismith would be willing to sell to a Premiership rival is another thing, and the Tynecastle side have yet to receive any bids for their top scorer this summer.
Andrew McKinlay has laughed off Rangers' reported interest in Lawrence Shankland and insists no bids have been made. Philippe Clement has been heavily linked with a swoop for the Jambos goal machine since the turn of the year but Gers have yet to lodge any offers.
Resolute Hearts are adamant Lawrence Shankland's value is not diminishing with one year left on his contract as Rangers keep close tabs on the Jambos standout.
